Legal Framework

The Sultanate of Oman, as a member of the United Nations, is committed to implementing the above-mentioned UNSCRs related to sanctions, by establishing the regulatory procedures to implement freezing measures in accordance with the United Nations Security Council Resolutions in line with the following:


1. Law on Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing issued by Royal Decree No. (30/2016)..
2. Decision No. (01/2022) of the Chairman of the National Counter-Terrorism Committee, Issuing Procedures for the Implementation of Security Council Resolutions Issued Under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter on the Prevention and Suppression of Terrorism and its Financing and the Prevention and Suppression of WMD Proliferation and its financing.
